Give the delivery address, not just the nearest city
Start with the street address, city or community, province or territory and postal code. Add the business or site name where useful. For a rural or industrial property, include the agreed entrance and a contact who can explain access; do not substitute a general map pin for a complete delivery description.
A request headed ‘sandbags for Alberta’ needs clarification before it can become a useful quote. ‘110 pre-filled bags for this full address, needed on this date, received by this person’ gives the team a concrete order to assess. For multiple destinations, list each separately with its own quantity and contact.
Specify the bags and the count
Say whether you need pre-filled 18 kg bags, empty bags or another quoted sand requirement. For pre-filled bags, one pallet is 55 bags: 110 bags are two pallets and 220 are four. If your count is uncertain, explain that rather than presenting an estimate as a confirmed order.
Bag quantities also help plan receiving. Fifty-five bags represent 990 kg of bags before the pallet and packaging. Tell the team if you need to discuss unloading; do not infer the complete shipment weight or included equipment from the bag count alone.
Explain when and how the site can receive
Give your desired date, any receiving window and the name and phone number of the on-site contact. State whether someone must open a gate, whether a delivery needs to be booked with a building manager, and whether there are access restrictions or limited space near the drop point.
Include the unloading equipment available, if any, and ask what arrangements are required if none is available. A request for an urgent delivery is a request to confirm feasibility; availability and an arrival time are not established until the team confirms them. This matters for both nearby deliveries and longer-distance freight.
Ask for the written breakdown
Keep the product quantity and delivery arrangement together in one written quote. Check the destination, bag count, price, taxes, transport details and anything you are expected to arrange. If an item is unclear, ask before accepting the plan.
The $5.99 CAD bag price shown for local pickup is not a delivered price for every Canadian address. Pickup GST calculations do not replace the tax and charge breakdown on a delivery quote. The team confirms the applicable total for the request; delivery is never charged in the pickup checkout.
Use the right site for the enquiry
SandBags.ca handles national supply enquiries. Its service-area page groups the provinces and territories for quote planning, without suggesting a local warehouse or guaranteed route in each community. EdmontonSandbags.ca, owned and operated by SandBags.ca, provides the more detailed Edmonton-area information.
If you will collect from Kennedale, Brintnell, Ozerna or Westpark, use the online pickup order instead. Choose your area, provide the required name, phone and email, and pay before travelling. Your paid receipt supplies the exact address and Maps link; the collection location cannot take payment.
A request you can prepare before calling
Have this information ready: product; bag count; full destination and postal code; desired date; receiving contact and phone; access instructions; unloading arrangements; and any reference your business needs on the paperwork. Leave payment details out of an ordinary enquiry email.
Send the request through the delivery quote form, call 1-888-552-7263 or email info@sandbags.ca. Keep a copy of the response and notify the team if the address, quantity or receiving arrangements change.
